Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of KarmiloFox, including the mobile application, website, Premium subscriptions and Lifetime purchase, and support services.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of KarmiloFox, including the mobile application, website at https://karmilofox.online, and related support services (collectively, the “Service”).

By downloading, accessing, subscribing to, purchasing through, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

KarmiloFox is a visual vocabulary-learning application. It currently supports learning English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Korean through features such as:

  • visual vocabulary cards and translations;
  • pronunciation audio and reading guides;
  • typing and recall exercises;
  • spaced repetition and topic-based learning;
  • progress tracking and optional local reminders;
  • a multilingual user interface.

Feature and content availability may depend on the selected language, app version, device, operating system, region, internet connection, active Premium entitlement, and app-store availability.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if you can legally agree to these Terms. KarmiloFox is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law, without appropriate parent or guardian authorization. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you must use the Service with the permission of your parent or legal guardian.

3. Premium Entitlement Is Required

An active KarmiloFox Premium entitlement is required to access the app's learning content and learning features. Premium entitlement may be provided by an active auto-renewable subscription or a valid Lifetime purchase. Before Premium activation, you may access limited onboarding, purchase, restore-purchase, support, and legal screens, or other limited functionality that we expressly make available.

Selected starter vocabulary and audio may be installed with the app, but their presence on the device does not itself grant learning access. An internet connection is required to activate or verify Premium and to download additional content or audio. After activation, available starter content can work offline; periodic online verification may still be required.

We may add, update, replace, or remove features and content where permitted by law. We do not guarantee that every word, audio file, language, topic, or feature will be available at all times or on every supported device.

4. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

Premium is offered through auto-renewable subscriptions purchased from Apple App Store or Google Play. The purchase screen and applicable app store display the subscription name, duration, content or services included, full price charged, billing period, renewal terms, and any available trial or introductory offer before you confirm a purchase. Those displayed terms govern your purchase.

Prices, currencies, taxes, billing periods, trial availability, eligibility, and offers can vary by store, country, account, and time. Website examples or promotional materials do not override the terms shown by the app store at checkout.

Free trials and introductory offers, when available, apply only to eligible subscriptions. They do not apply to the Lifetime one-time purchase.

4.1 Automatic Renewal

Unless the purchase screen says otherwise, a subscription automatically renews for the displayed period until cancelled. Your app-store account is charged according to the timing and price disclosed by Apple or Google. If a trial or introductory offer is available and you do not cancel before it ends, it may convert to a paid, auto-renewable subscription at the disclosed price.

4.2 Managing or Cancelling

You can manage or cancel a subscription through the store where it was purchased:

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Unless the applicable store or law provides otherwise, cancellation stops future renewal and access generally continues until the end of the already-paid billing period.

4.3 Restoring Purchases

The app provides a restore-purchases option for supported store purchases. Restoration depends on the app-store account, product status, platform rules, and entitlement associated with the purchase. Supported Lifetime purchases may also be restored through this option.

4.4 Billing Problems and Refunds

Apple or Google processes payment and generally controls billing adjustments, cancellations, and refunds under its own policies and applicable law. KarmiloFox does not receive your full payment-card details and cannot directly issue app-store refunds where the store controls the transaction. You may contact karmilofox.app@outlook.com for assistance, but the final billing or refund decision may belong to Apple or Google.

4.5 Purchase and Entitlement Verification

KarmiloFox uses RevenueCat together with Apple and Google purchase systems to retrieve offerings, complete or restore purchases, and verify Premium entitlements. Premium access may be unavailable if verification cannot be completed, payment fails, a subscription expires, a purchase is refunded or revoked, or the store reports that access is inactive.

5. Lifetime Premium Purchase

Lifetime Premium is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. The applicable app store displays the full localized price before you confirm the purchase. It is charged once and has no free trial, billing period, automatic renewal, or expiration.

A valid Lifetime purchase unlocks the Premium features currently offered and future Premium features that KarmiloFox makes available under the same entitlement while the Service remains available. It does not guarantee that every individual feature, language, item of content, or third-party service will remain unchanged or available forever.

Buying Lifetime does not cancel an existing Monthly or Yearly subscription. You must cancel that subscription separately through the app store where it was purchased to prevent the next renewal. Until cancellation takes effect, the store may continue to bill the subscription according to its displayed terms.

Lifetime is associated with the purchasing app-store account and platform. Use Restore Purchases while signed in to the same store account to recover supported access. Refunds and revocations are controlled by Apple or Google under their policies and applicable law; a refunded or revoked purchase may remove Lifetime entitlement.

6. Local Profile and Device Data

The current app release does not require a separate KarmiloFox login account. Learning preferences and progress are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for protecting your device and app-store account. Uninstalling, resetting, replacing, or losing a device may remove local learning data, subject to any operating-system backup behavior.

A RevenueCat anonymous or app-specific identifier may be used to manage your Premium entitlement. It is not a public KarmiloFox profile.

7. App Stores and Third-Party Services

Your use of KarmiloFox may also be subject to Apple App Store or Google Play terms. The Service uses third-party providers for app distribution, billing, purchase and subscription management, diagnostics, security, audio delivery, website hosting, and analytics. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies.

Apple and Google are not responsible for KarmiloFox support except to the extent required by their policies or applicable law.

8. License and Intellectual Property

Subject to these Terms and an active Premium entitlement where required, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial language learning.

KarmiloFox and its licensors own the Service and its software, design, user interface, text, illustrations, icons, logos, audio, vocabulary organization, learning flows, and other content. These materials are protected by intellectual property and other applicable laws.

9. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • use the Service unlawfully or to harm another person;
  • copy, sell, rent, sublicense, republish, or redistribute the Service or its content;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • scrape, crawl, automate, or bulk-download content without written permission;
  • interfere with, probe, overload, or bypass Service security;
  • bypass Premium controls or manipulate purchase or subscription entitlements;
  • abuse trials, refunds, promotions, purchases, or support channels;
  • introduce malware or use the Service to infringe third-party rights;
  • copy the Service or its content to create or train a competing product.

10. Educational Content

KarmiloFox supports vocabulary study, but it does not guarantee fluency, exam results, certification, employment outcomes, or any specific learning result. Language, translation, reading-guide, and pronunciation content may contain errors or regional variations. If you find a problem, please report it so we can review and improve the content.

11. Feedback and Support Submissions

If you send feedback, ideas, suggestions, screenshots, or bug reports, you give us permission to use them to support and improve KarmiloFox without payment or other obligation. You remain responsible for ensuring that anything you submit is lawful and that you have the right to provide it.

12. Service Availability and Updates

We aim to provide a reliable Service, but availability may be affected by maintenance, internet access, third-party services, app-store systems, device compatibility, or events outside our control. We may release required updates or change technical requirements. Some older app versions may stop working correctly or may no longer receive content.

13. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a Terms violation, unlawful or fraudulent use, security risk, store requirement, discontinued Service, or legal obligation. Termination of app access does not automatically cancel a store subscription; you must cancel it through Apple or Google.

14. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, that all content will always be complete or accurate, that every defect will be corrected immediately, or that the Service will meet every user's expectations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KarmiloFox will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of local progress, interruption, lost opportunity, or lost profit, arising from use of or inability to use the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for KarmiloFox during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

16. Consumer Rights and Applicable Law

These Terms do not limit mandatory consumer-protection, privacy, cancellation, refund, or other rights available to you under applicable law. Any dispute will be governed and resolved under the laws and procedures that lawfully apply to the parties and the transaction, including any mandatory rights in your place of residence.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service, subscriptions, purchases, providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or another appropriate method where required.

If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription through the applicable app store before its next renewal. Lifetime is not a recurring subscription; any refund request remains subject to the applicable store's rules and mandatory law.
